Shark Alley will continue to trade during these unusual times, enabling you to continue shopping for beautiful handmade pieces from the safety and comfort of your home. 

If your order is a gift for a loved one, I am happy to post directly to them to save you leaving the house if you are in self-isolation.  All Shark Alley pieces already come beautifully packaged, and no invoice or payment information is enclosed with the order.

If you would like to choose this option, a special gift message from you can also be enclosed. Please let me know what you would like me to write in the notes section when you check out (I have nice handwriting!)

All necessary care is taken to prepare and despatch orders safely and efficiently. See below*.

HEALTH & SAFETY
Shark Alley is adhering strictly to UK Government lockdown restrictions and orders will be despatched only two or three times per week under these guidelines.  There is a post box 100 yards from my home studio, so no Post Office visit or queuing is required for UK orders.  International orders will continue to be despatched as long as Post Offices remain open.  Shark Alley orders requiring international postage are despatched under the Drop & Go system, which means no queuing is necessary and contact with other Post Office users is extremely limited.

* All orders are packed solely by me from my private home studio, which is used only by me.  All current hygiene and cleanliness procedures are strictly adhered to. 

All pieces have been handled only by me after their return from the laser cutters (based locally).  These pieces are left for a minimum of three days before being worked on (much longer in most cases) and all the wood is cleaned prior to painting and finishing. All packaging and stationery is also handled only by me, and was ordered in bulk in Autumn 2019.

If you have any concerns about your package, you can leave it unopened for 24 hours.  This is the time specified for the life of any potential virus on paper and cardboard.
