This is part of a collection inspired by the English seaside town of Lyme Regis, famous for its fossils and prehistoric discoveries, and the dinosaurs of the Jurassic age.
The plesiosaur brooch is cut from warm-toned cherry wood and engraved with a stylised design inspired by the dinosaur's skeleton. Like all Shark Alley brooches, it is light and easy to wear.
The plesiosaur was a marine dinosaur, and two of their almost complete fossilised skeletons were discovered by palaeontologist Mary Anning along the Dorset coast in the early 19th century.
This plesiosaur comes packaged on its own presentation card tucked into a natural kraft pillow box, making it a really great gift (if you can bear to give it away!). The packaging is recyclable.
