Garden Tiger Moth Brooch
Beautifully shaped and often dramatically patterned, British moths are the inspiration for Shark Alley’s new mini-collection.
This is the garden tiger moth, which is widespread in the UK, and no two are identical, although all have a pattern of chocolate-coloured blotches on the upper wings and blue spots on the lower.
Every detail on the garden tiger moth brooch is individually painted by hand, with the colours carefully built up in layers. The back of the garden tiger is painted a vivid hyacinth blue.
The brooch is cut from FSC certified sustainable birch and both sides are finished with a satin varnish.
Like all Shark Alley designs, it is light and easy to wear.
The garden tiger comes beautifully packaged, with its own display card. The packaging is recyclable.
