The winter-visiting member of the thrush family, the redwing, is the inspiration for this brooch design. It is cut from FSC certified sustainable birch and painted entirely by hand using eco-friendly Farrow and Ball colours. The pattern on the chest is made up of tiny engraved heart shapes. The back of the brooch is painted a warm chestnut brown and both sides are finished with a satin varnish.

Like all Shark Alley designs, it is light and easy to wear.

The brooch comes beautifully packaged, with its own display card, and also includes a little card featuring one of my photos of a redwing, plus some fun redwing facts.

The packaging is recyclable
