This is part of a collection inspired by the wild birds of the British Isles.

Based on the Greater Spotted Woodpecker, this brooch is cut from warm-toned cherry wood and then extensively engraved to emphasise the design of the bird. The beautiful markings of the wings and body are hand painted to make them really pop.

The slender and elegant design of the brooch makes it an ideal piece for wearing on the lapels of your coat or jacket, or you could style it right in the centre of a shirt or sweater for a dramatic effect, like wearing a really eye-catching pendant.

The woodpecker brooch comes prettily packaged on its own presentation card, which is tucked inside a natural kraft pillow box, making it a really great gift (if you can bear to give it away!). Most of Shark Alley's packaging is recyclable.
