Dandelion Clock
From the humble dandelion to the magnificent foxglove, British wildflowers have inspired a new collection of Shark Alley brooches.
The flower range has been specifically designed to be worn either alone, with another flower or to be paired with one of the Shark Alley bird brooches as a kind of perch for the bird, or to complement or contrast with it in terms of shape or colour.
This brooch is based on the dandelion in its seed head form, which is often known as a 'clock' after the children's game of guessing the time based on how many puffs it takes to blow off all the fluffy seeds.
The dandelion is cut from FSC certified sustainable birch and painted entirely by hand using water-based eco-friendly paint. The back of the brooch is painted in marigold yellow and both sides are finished with a satin varnish.
Like all Shark Alley designs, it is light and easy to wear and can be styled on anything from jackets and t-shirts to hats and scarves.
The dandelion clock brooch comes beautifully packaged, with its own display card and pillow box. The packaging is recyclable.
