Shark Alley's painted collection is inspired by the faded, weathered, painted wood of the English seaside and the sun-bleached colours of the Mediterranean.

This pretty songbird brooch has been cut from cherry wood and engraved with a design inspired by lush Mediterranean foliage.

Cherry wood has a lovely rich warm hue and goes really well with all fabrics and colours.

The songbird is hand painted in eco-friendly Farrow And Ball paint in duck egg blue and white, then individually hand finished to give it a rustic, vintage feel.

Like all Shark Alley brooches, it is light and easy to wear.

The brooch comes attractively presented in recyclable packaging, making it a great gift.

Due to the natural variations in the wood and finishing, each songbird may differ very slightly from the one shown, but will be just as pretty.
