Starling - Hand Painted Brooch

6cm x 2cm | FSC certified birch, eco friendly paint
The glossy, star-spangled (yet very underrated) starling with its iridescent feathers and lemon yellow beak is the inspiration for this brooch design. It is cut from FSC certified sustainable birch and painted entirely by hand using eco-friendly Farrow and Ball colours and finished with a wash of iridescent purple/green acrylic. The back of the starling is painted a deep violet and both sides are finished with a satin varnish.

Like all Shark Alley designs, it is light and easy to wear.

The brooch comes beautifully packaged, with its own display card, and also includes a little card featuring one of my photos of a starling, plus some fun starling facts.

The packaging is recyclable.
